About Me

Writer, Blogger, Mama.

I am a mother of two boys, based in SW London, where we live with my South African partner in a basement flat under my grandparents’ house. I blog about my experiences of parenting, our international family life, anxiety, depression and my current venture into creative writing. The blog was originally started to help me overcome my struggles with PND, but now I am making it into a full-time hobby. And, I am LOVING it.

Writer: I love to create stories for my two bear cubs. I am also working on my first fictional novel at the moment, which I am trying to fit around my two kids and a full-time job!

Blogger: I have been writing the Not So Goldilocks blog now for over four years, with a rather large hiatus recently while other things got in the way. It has helped with periods of depression, stress and anxiety, but also keeps me tuned in with what is happening in our world. I would like to think that someone out there may get something positive out of what I’ve written here, or at least find something entertaining in my writing!

Mama: Ah, yes. Mamahood. A shock to my system for sure, but loving it nonetheless, especially when my sons get along. This has been my main focus for the past seven years, and I think my bear cubs are ready to let Mama have a bit of time to do the things she is passionate about (as well as looking after them, which I am also passionate about, of course!).

I hope that you will enjoy my blog. I like to think that everyone should know that others are going through the same thing they are, no matter how ridiculous it might sound. I also have a motto… Everything is temporary.

Contact me if you want to chat about anything I have written about, and I will try my best to help any of you in any way I can. In the meantime, keeeeeeeeeep dancing!

Thank you,

Not So Goldilocks xxx
